OUR STORY
Perched 4,250 ft on a mountain, Honey Valley is a homestay and a base camp for the highest mountain, Mt.Tadianadamol (5,730 ft), in Coorg. Surrounded by magnificent rainforests and a lush green coffee estate where black pepper is also grown. From being a single house facility in 1994, the last two decades have seen our accommodation capacity evolve to five guest facilities and an Estate Guest House called Chingaara near to our private waterfall. Honey Valley accommodates 53 and Chingaara 34 people. However, in spite of our size, we are neither a hotel nor a resort. Honey Valley maintains its humble home stay pedigree. When you visit us you would be walking into a place with a personal touch to everything and unassuming hospitality. You will enjoy its liberties as a homestay and, as one, will be bound by its limitations too. People usually visit us to hike – enjoy nature up close, or to get away from the city life with its constant bombardment of the senses. Honey Valley provides a natural environment that is both soothing and sublime and is emphasised by the symphony of the rainforests. When you step into Honey Valley, you step into the larger living space that we share with over 50 different types of birds, butterflies, a plethora of flora and fauna of this region, and not to forget, our dogs, cows and other pets. In essence, you’d experience the valley just the way a local will – in all it’s natural splendor and superlative simplicity. And if you don’t find anyone to pick-up your luggage after you, or food delivered to your room, don’t be surprised or disappointed.
For guests who prefer a little more comfort than Honey Valley we offer Chingaara, our Estate Guest House.

ACTIVITIES
The Pleasure of Doing Nothing At All
Most people visit Honey Valley to do just that – nothing at all. When you have left behind the enforced pressures of modern-day life thousands of feet below, and all around you is nothing but lush green mountain tops, refreshingly clean air, the occasional sight of a bird diving for prey, and the majestic calm of Mother Nature, doing nothing at all doesn’t seem difficult or discomfiting. In fact, it would almost seem the most natural thing to do. So take a break. Have a cup of coffee. Take your time. Have a conversation. Breathe easy.
Going Where The Path Leads
Honey Valley is surrounded by the three things Coorg abounds in – mountains, rainforest, and water bodies that come in different forms, shapes, and sizes. It is a world out there that holds compelling secrets for the explorer – whether it is a rare bird, a water-brushed stone, or a trail yet undiscovered. As adventurers - hiking -enthusiasts, wildlife photographers, artists, thinkers, writers, geologists, anthropologists, archaeologists – the soul of the seeker has coveted Coorg mountain tops and valleys with equal fervor and faith. From a rejuvenating visit to our private waterfall to scaling the peaks of Mt.Tadiandamol adventures of the magical kind await you around Honey Valley. Starting with 18 trails from the estate itself.
For the herping enthusiast we have our own Batracharium.
Books and Little Road Trips
Apart from the opportunity for birdwatching, stargazing (you will have to bring your own binoculars or telescope), photographing some of most scenic mountains and valleys, and trekking, we also offer you a modest collection of books if you feel inclined in some reading. On the other hand, if you wish to visit the nearby tourist attractions such as Nalaknadu Palace, Igguthappa Temple, the Sunset Point, Madikeri or the Golden Temple at Kushal Nagar, etc., upon request, we will be happy to arrange for hired transportation. In the night you may request for a bonfire (payable) to gather around under the star-lit sky and enjoy some quality bonding time amidst the natural backdrop. Whatever you do remember the idea is to relax and soak in the natural environment. After all, a holiday shouldn’t turn out or feel like a regular work day – stressful and tiresome.
